BEST: Taylor Swift Tickets
Every single CENT I spent on Eras Tour tickets this year was 100% worth it. They say money can’t buy happiness but those people haven’t been to The Eras Tour. I was so fortunate to be able to go to four shows (night 3 in Arlington, night 1 and 3 in Houston, and night 1 in Santa Clara) and each night was the best night ever.
Honorable mention: the money I spent to see The Eras Tour movie 3 times… I loved reliving it and seeing Cruel Summer on the big screen.
WORST: Canon G7X Mark III
I bought the Canon G7X Mark III because my Canon G7X Mark II broke after having it for about 4 years :( The Mark II is sold out everywhere and I thought the Mark III would be better because it’s the newer version… right? wrong. It doesn’t focus well, doesn’t have the face recognition feature, I can’t figure out the photo settings to get them to look as good as my Mark II photos (when I took pictures at night the quality was awful which I never ever had an issue with on the Mark II). I missed the return window so I will be using it and patiently waiting for the Mark II to come back in stock.
BEST: Dyson Airwrap + Acrylic Shelf
I finally bought the raved about Dyson Airwrap and it is worth the hype! even better - I found this acrylic shelf to store it on and it looks so good in my bathroom and saves so much counter/storage space. To be fair I didn’t own a hairdryer before this so it was nice to have that feature, but I also love all of the attachments. There is a learning curve but after about a month I figured out how to best use it on my hair!
BEST: Sony Headphones
These headphones were somewhat of a impulse purchase before I was going on a trip and wanted over the ear headphones for the airplane. If you watched my YouTube video of last year’s best and worst purchases you know that I tried the Apple Airpod Max’s and returned them because they hurt my jaw/head. I haven’t had an issue with these! The sound is great and I am able to wear them longer than my Apple Airpod Pros which start to hurt my ears after a while.
WORST: Tula Sunscreen
Sorry Tula… I’ve heard great things but this was an impulse purchase at a Target Ulta that I should’ve left on the shelf. I love my Elta sunscreen and this one just doesn’t compare :(
BEST: Workout Classes
A lot of my money went towards Soulcycle, Barry’s (code: ATIENZAAUD443), and Solidcore and I would (and will) do it again. I think of these as an investment in myself. It is my favorite way to workout because I love having someone tell me what to do, people around me to keep me accountable, and a set start and end time that I know I’ll get a great workout in. Currently in a Solidcore fixation (I’ve been buying the 12 class a month membership) but also bought some Barry’s classes during their holiday sale that I’m excited to use next year.
Best: Workout Underwear
It feels slightly weird to talk about my underwear but I can’t gatekeep these anymore. They are from Amazon and are an amazing athletic material that are my favorite to workout in. Actually I refuse to wear anything else when I workout. Would definitely recommend.
WOrst: Subcriptions I didn’t know I had
For me this is AMC+, but it’s not their fault I didn’t cancel my free trial and didn’t notice I was paying $8.99 for months. My new year’s resolution is to make sure I’m not paying for things I don’t use because it is an awful feeling.
